Transporting Fine Arts

The first sector in which the company is considered to be a pioneer is the transport of Fine Arts.

Paintings, sculptures, vases and priceless items with important histories that must be transported in a totally secure, protected manner.
Züst & Bachmeier is a member of ICEFAT – International Convention of Exhibition and Fine Arts transport), an association that groups together specialists in the transportation of Fine Arts around the world.

Participation in this sector is connected with one of the company’s founders, who left his mark on the company, Giovanni Züst, who was a collector of Fine Arts. In 1966, he donated his entire collection to the Municipality of Rancate in the Ticino Canton, which started up the Pinacoteca Cantonale Giovanni Züst (the Municipal Art Museum), collecting works by artists from Ticino from the 17th to the 19th century.

The Art Museum now regularly hosts exhibitions during the year.

Züst & Bachmeier collaborates with several museums, public and private associations, auction houses, banks, art galleries and international exhibitions as part of its business activities.
